Time to see where I’ll be heading in February, no new destinations but some lovely ones to be sent to nonetheless. So in February I shall be going to…
MRU – Blue Bay, Mauritius Layover
LHR – London Heathrow, UK Layover
SIN/BNE – Singapore and Brisbane, Australia Multisector
LGW – London Gatwick, UK Layover
DMM – Dammam, Saudi Arabia Turn Around
MAN – Manchester, UK Layover
MEL – Melbourne, Australia Layover
An extremely nice way to kick off February is with a trip to Mauritius! I was last here in 2018, so I’m looking forward to going back and for a nice thirty hour layover too. Maybe try and explore some of the island this time as well.
Following on from this it’s off to the UK with the destination of London Heathrow. I originally had a turn around to Chennai in India, so I was more than happy to accept this swap for a layover where I can catch up with family/friends, and stock up on UK essentials.
The next trip for me is a multi sector trip and one of my favourite ones too! First up we have a layover in Singapore where I can catch up with my friend Matt who lives there. It’s been a while since I last saw Matt so I’m really looking forward to catching up with him and his girlfriend Gen. Continuing on from Singapore we then go across to Brisbane where I can catch up with my old flat mate Hannah who resigned last year and moved to Brisbane with her boyfriend Dustin, so it will be so lovely to see the both of them too! Then we fly direct from Brisbane back to Dubai.
After this it’s back to London again but this time with the destination of Gatwick. I originally had a layover in Dhaka, Bangladesh but I swapped this for an extra day off and a Gatwick so that I could have a long Valentines weekend off prior. Hoping to get away somewhere for the weekend, so stay posted for where I could end up.
Next up is an extremely quick turn around to Dammam in Saudi Arabia. It’s around fifty minutes each way so is a very short day at work, back to back with another trip to the UK but this time it’s to Manchester. I never get rostered flights to Manchester, so I pleasantly surprised to see this on my roster and landing on a Sunday lunchtime too. Just in time for a roast dinner with the family!
And ending the month is another ULR (ultra long range) flight back to Melbourne. I kicked off 2020 with the exact same flight, so I’m desperate to swap this. I just have to wait until the March roster comes out as it overlaps months, and I’m hoping I can get a US flight as its across my sisters birthday weekend, so would be great if I could get to her!
And that wraps up February, a busy month with some nice destinations and a short tour of the UK it seems. As always, feel free to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube:
