I’m sorry it has been a bit silent on the blog at the moment, but I genuinely have not stopped. I’ve done a string of back to back UK flights catching up with family and friends and running errands. So, it’s not involved a whole lot of exploring in between being inundated with guests visiting Dubai to make the most of the perfect temperatures before that Dubai summer hits. I did however manage to swap one of my flights where I got to deadhead on the way back which was super exciting and super fun, and I spent my seven hour flight back in business class watching Crazy Rich Asians, Dumplin’ and Green Book. For anyone flying Emirates soon, WATCH GREEN BOOK. I completely understand why it took home Best Picture at The Oscars this year and is a completely eye opening and raw film that really portrays a serious issue. It will make you cry, it will make you laugh and completely shock you. An absolutely brilliant film that I highly recommend.

Anyway, in May I shall be heading to…
Normal Annual Leave
ARN – Stockholm, Sweden Layover
MAN – Manchester, UK Layover
KHI – Karachi, Pakistan Turn Around
DEL – Delhi, India Turn Around
LAX – Los Angeles, USA Layover
It’s been a while since I’ve been on leave and I’m ready for it! I am SO beyond excited for my holiday this summer. Me and my two best friends are heading away to not one but TWO destinations. We are kick starting our trip with five days in New York. A city I love so much and can’t wait to explore with Chantelle and Grace. I have compiled the biggest list of sights to explore, things to do, views to see, bars to drink at, restaurants to try and I seriously cannot wait to be there for more than 24 hours. I’m just hoping that I can fit everything on my currently expanding list (we’re at 53 points so far) into my five days there. And that’s if we make it on the standby flight to NYC!
Following on from here and the whole point of our trip is a trip to the Bahamas. I seriously cannot wait to tick off a brand new country but also tick something off my bucket list which I have wanted to do for the longest time, which is go and see the pigs on pig beach! It will be an amazing five days here soaking up those tropical island vibes, and I’ve even bought a GoPro to try and even capture a short vlog of the trip!
Bringing me back from my leave is a 48 hour layover in Stockholm, Sweden. It’s been a while since I last visited and due to scheduled maintenance on Dubai runway I’ve got an extra long layover here. I can’t wait to explore more of this city slash country, so if anyone has any suggestions do let me know!
After this is a layover home to Manchester, I NEVER get rostered Manchester flights so it was a pleasant surprise to see this on my roster.
After this I have two back to back turn arounds. I’m hoping to swap these for a layover but who knows, we shall see. A lot of hours will be spent on the swaps page.
And ending May is a trip to Los Angeles. It doesn’t seem that long since I was last there at the end of 2018, so I’m hoping I can swap this for a US destination I haven’t done in a while. Keep posted to see where I do end up.
And that wraps up May! An exciting month in store, and beyond ready to tick off country 69! As always, feel free to follow me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for more daily updates:

YAY! You’re back! I kept visiting the blog to see if there was an update from you! Looks like a very exciting month indeed. A quick question, are Delhi and Karachi layovers or turnarounds?

Haha sorry, been a very busy few weeks for me! My apologies, they’re turn arounds. I wrote this whilst I was trying to stay awake through the night for a ULR this evening. Thanks for spotting that mistake for me!

Hello Jessica,
The Bahamas is a wonderful choice. We call it affectionately our Florida’s own backyard. It bears the brunt of Hurricane’s fury before it hits the mainland. Don’t worry. Hurricane season is between July and October. We take a short flight or an overnight cruise from FLL. Usually, we go to Nassau or Freeport and do snorkeling and enjoy some fabulous Bahamian seafood. There are so many small islands with breathtaking, clear beaches. Great Exuma bay is where the pigs are. Only about 20 plus left. They are adorable each with their own personalities. They are hungry. You can buy food there for them. Only the pigs and the tourists there. No locals. The whole island is yours to enjoy. Also, visit Three Sisters Rock if time permits. For your return trip, you can sneak across the border to FLL on a short flight or cruise and fly back home with your own crew. How nice! Have a fabulous trip and can’t wait to see our Backyard through your eyes.
