November 2018 Roster

A very underwhelming roster to receive, it seems a good few hours will be spent on the swaps page sorting out my November. Hey ho, that’s how it is sometimes. In November I shall be going to…

KHI – Karachi, Pakistan Turn Around
CPT – Cape Town, South Africa Layover
LHR – London, UK Layover
JNB – Johannesburg, South Africa Layover
ACC/ABJ – Accra, Ghana and Abijan, Côte d’Ivorie Multisector
KHI – Karachi, Pakistan Turn Around
LGW – London, UK Layover
DEL – Delhi, Turn Around

Kicking off the month with a turn around, I’m hoping to swap to extend my leave but I won’t hold my breath. Then back to back with this is a trip to Cape Town, and with good timings hallelujah. It’s the only thing I got that I bid for, and I’m happy to head to the South African sunshine and hopefully get to head up Table Mountain!

Following on from this is London paired with Johannesburg back to back. Really not bothered for Jo’Burg, so I’m trying to see if I can get a multisector or something for this trip instead. Who knows, we’ll see.

After this is the third African trip of the month to Ghana and Cöte d’Ivorie. I’ve been here once before, I’d like to swap it for something different so I’ll chance my luck on the swaps page.

Another turn around to Karachi paired with another trip to London, albeit Gatwick this time, it falls on a weekend which is nice but I don’t rate this timing that much. But we only get three swaps a month, so I’m going to have to use them wisely! And ending my show stopping month of turn arounds, UK and Africa is another trip to Delhi, a flight I just landed back from this evening too.

Bit disappointed with my third top bid, but it can’t always be sunshine and rainbows, and I’m sure I’ll make the most of it no matter what!

I’m very happy you will be visiting the city I live in (Abidjan) and look forward to your story on the layover you will spend. If your first time in ABJ, don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. In advance, have a beautiful month of November. 🙂

    1. Hi Ndzulo, we don’t layover in Abidjan, we just shuttle there and back before having another layover in Accra and then flying back to Dubai. I did end up staying there last year when there was technical issues at the airport which you can read about here: https://wp.me/p6KfcJ-3Hv

But if for some reason I do end up there in the future, would love to hear your layover tips! Have a lovely November yourself 🙂
