That time has come round again for the next months roster and I’m sad to say I think my luck was used up in December as I didn’t get any flights I asked for… after using my three swaps for the month already in January I will be going to:

CMN – Casablanca, Morocco Layover
CMB – Colombo, Sri Lanka Turn Around
LGW – London Gatwick, UK Layover
MAA – Chennai, India Turn Around
MNL – Manila, Phillipines Layover
BOM – Bombay, India Turn Around
DUR – Durban, South Africa Layover

I swapped onto Casablanca from a Singapore/Colombo multi sector trip. I’d done Singapore before and wasn’t bothered to return and going via Colombo is a very long flight so was happy to swap onto a new destination! Morocco will be lovely, maybe a little cold though.

I knew I was pushing my luck not having done a turn around in over 3 months so I can’t really complain about having three this month. I would have tried to swap off them, but I used my three swaps for different layovers, so never mind!

After my Colombo turn around I asked for 5 days off in a row so that I can go skiing in Austria with my Mum and Dad, so I’ll have a nice little holiday thrown into the middle of my month. Can’t wait to get back on those slopes and eat my favourite Austrian foods for a few days!

Next up I have London Gatwick, I was originally rostered Düsseldorf but having been there before and there not actually much to do. When someone sent me a swap for Gatwick and it be on a weekend, I was very happy to click accept so I can go and see my uni girls as it will have been quite a while since we’ve all been together.

My next layover is Manilla, I was originally rostered Jakarta but again I’d already visited and there isn’t much to do so a new destination to the beautiful Philippines was exciting to swap onto! I’m hoping to do the horseback tour up to the Taal Volcano, so fingers crossed some other crew are keen to do that as well.

Ending the month in Durban, I enjoyed visiting not that long back (read about what I got up to here) unsure what I’ll get up to this time, but I’ll definitely be stocking up on some avocados, steak and wine to take back to Dubai with me, so stay posted for what I get up to there!

I can’t quite believe I have my first roster of 2017, what a whirlwind year this past year has been! I won’t be posting now until the new year so I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I’ll see you in the new year!!
