Hello (Again) Hong Kong!

Another trip to Hong Kong, not that long after my last one however I did say I would be happy to return which I was, as there is so much I want to do there! The flight times for this trip weren’t brilliant (sleep wise) so I am currently back in Dubai very sleepy writing this blog post. However I have 5 days off to catch up on sleep now which is all very lovely!

Myself and a couple of the other crew had planned to go to Disney Land for our layover which I was SO excited about!! We landed at 6:30am into Hong Kong International airport and around 8am I was in bed ready for a quick nap to recharge the batteries before heading over to Lantau Island for Disney Land Hong Kong – not before stopping for a quick Starbucks first!! Zzz.

To get over to Lantau Island we had to get a couple of MTRs and Disney Land even has its own line which is Disney themed, it was so cute and I really started to feel like a child again.

We exited the MTR, paid for our tickets and headed on through to the park pretending to be Disney Princesses for the day.

The park itself is rather small in comparison to the one in Paris (I’m yet to visit the one in Orlando) however we only had about 7 hours there so it worked in our favour. We went on a few different rides and had decided to go to the 6pm showing of the Lion King.

The show was absolutely amazing and made me miss the theatre, I definitely have to go and see the Lion King either on the West End or Broadway!

Around 8pm we headed over to Space Mountain for one last ride before we made our way back to the hotel as it was getting very cold now and we were up at 4:15am for our wake up call. Not before we popped into the shop to buy a keep sake – how cute is my Monsters Inc mug that holds SO much tea?!

All in all a really fabulous day. A short post, however Disney Land was a dream and I recommend to anyone visiting Hong Kong! I’m back to Hong Kong again in a weeks time so expect to hear more on my adventures there very soon.

Hi Jessica, have been following your exploits around the world, you are having such a super time, we are so envious but we were so sorry to see that you got over 40 mosquito bites on one visit, can I suggest that if you ever fly to South Africa, call in a chemist there and buy some ‘Tabbard’ mosquito repellent it is really good, we used nothing else on our holidays over there and never had any problems, give it try. You may be able to buy it in Dubai.?

Take care Jess, love and best wishes from Uncle Peter and Ann.

Hi Peter and Ann, so lovely to hear from you! Ah I will definitely try that as I suffer so bad and I’m actually allergic to the bites too! We fly to Johannesburg and Cape Town, not sure which you’re closest too but when I get those destinations in the future would love to see you both if you’re close by! Hope you’re both well and lots of love to you both,
      Jess X
